One thing that always makes me smile is that many pregnant women are actually far more comfortable with artistic nude photographs than my boudoir clients.

I once had a client laugh and say, “At this point I’ve had so many doctor’s appointments during this pregnancy that I don’t care if one more person sees me naked.”

And honestly, there is some truth to that.

Pregnancy has a way of shifting your perspective. Your body is doing something extraordinary. It is creating an entirely new human being. Many women find themselves less focused on hiding perceived imperfections and more interested in celebrating what their body is accomplishing.

Of course, every session is different, and artistic nude images are never required. But if you are open to them, pregnancy can be one of the most beautiful seasons to create those kinds of portraits.

After all, if your body is creating an entire human being, it might deserve to be celebrated a little.
